However, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) casts doubt on these assertions, lacking visual confirmation. As the conflict escalates, Russian momentum persists in Donetsk Oblast, with a strategic focus on capturing Chasiv Yar, potentially serving as a launchpad for further incursions. "The primary battleground in Krasnohorivka centers around the industrial plant, predominantly under our control, though clearance operations are ongoing as the enemy remains entrenched," detailed "Voenkor Kotenyok" in a Telegram update.

Meanwhile, ISW's daily assessment notes marginal gains for Moscow's forces in western Donetsk but underscores the stability of the front line, where elements of Russia's 238th Artillery Brigade are active. The conflict's spillover is evident in a Ukrainian airstrike on Russia's Belgorod Oblast, resulting in injuries and property damage. Additionally, Russia persists in its drone offensive, launching Shahed-type drones from Crimea towards Ukraine.
